Top Northern Cal Linebacker Jason Stewart set for National Combine Series

At 6-1 and 215 pounds Woodcreek High School (Roseville, CA) linebacker Jason Stewart has the skill set that should attract lots of attention from college coaches. Stewart will be putting his football skills to the test this weekend at the Prep Football America National Combine, in Livermore, CA.

The talented Stewart earned All-League honors in 2009 from his middle linebacker spot, and he is pegged as one of the top linebackers to watch in Northern California for the class of 2011 by the scouting staff at Prep Football America.

Stewart has been clocked at 4.70 in the forty yard dash, he squats 400 pounds and he has put up fifteen reps of 185-pounds on the bench press.

Off the field Stewart has an ultra-impressive record in the classroom. He currently carries a 4.4 GPA and he is a member of the National Honor Society.

National Scouting Director for Varsity Sports Group, Bob Warsaw, said that "Jason Stewart is the real deal on and off the field. Jason is a rising senior who displays outstanding leadership skills and, because of this, has been selected team captain for 2011."

The recruitment of Stewart should heat up as coaches begin to learn all about the talented leader. Stewart takes both his football, and his academics, extremely serious and that's a big reason why college coaches will be excited to learn all about him as he enters the all-important collegiate evaluation period.
